CSR Update: Babcock Staff Surpass Fundraising Goal and Plan Next Philanthropic Event!

In addition to personal pledge payroll deductions, the Babcock Kick-Off Campaign for United Way of the Inland Valleys raised $4,179, far surpassing its original goal of $3,500. The funds were raised through week-long activities that included an ice cream social, a staff baby picture guessing game, and lunch-time chemistry bingo. While this was only our second employee kick-off event, Babcock Labs has supported United Way of the Inland Valleys for many years.

The staff is also excited to participate in its next philanthropic event, which will take place next month. On November 15, Babcock Labs will “Walk to Stop Diabetes”. Our goal is to raise $500 for the American Diabetes Association. We are so proud of our employees for their continued efforts to give back to the community and support charitable organizations.

Babcock Labs’ community service efforts are a part of our company’s overall Corporate Social Responsibility plan. As an environmental lab that has been a part of the Riverside community since 1906, we believe it is our duty to take actions that help protect the environment and public health, partake in educational and social programs that support our local community, and conduct our business in a way that is both ethically and economically responsible.
